Sheriff’s Department Arrests

• 7:41 a.m. Thursday, Franklin County Jail, Chadley Mueller, 30, Fort Scott, was arrested at the Crawford County Jail on a Franklin County warrant.

Police Department Arrests

• 12:37 p.m. Wednesday, 700 block of Liberty Street, Donald Dean Smith, 40, Ottawa, on suspicion of endangering a child after they were found in unsafe conditions.

• 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, 1000 block of East Logan Street, Kyle Reeves, 18, Ottawa, on suspicion of disorderly conduct after attempting to harm officers.

• 2:59 p.m. Wednesday, I-35 and U.S. 59, Gary Moore, 25, Quenemo, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 4:09 p.m. Wednesday, 1400 block of South Main Street, Kaleb O’Donnell, 23, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 11 p.m. Wednesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Joshua Searing, 26, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 1:02 p.m. Thursday, 1200 block of West Seventh Street, Amy Campbell, 35, Ottawa, on a City of Ottawa warrant.

• 2:22 p.m. Thursday, 400 block of South Main Street, Mallory Harrell, 22, Pomona, on suspicion of possession of stolen property.

• 10:18 p.m. Thursday, 100 block of West 17th Street, Jason Garner, 34, Independence, Missouri, on suspicion of driving with a revoked license, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of prescription narcotics, and trafficking contraband into a correctional facility (Franklin County Jail). Garner also was arrested on a City of Newton, Kansas, warrant.

• 2:03 a.m. Friday, 300 block of East Fifth Street, a 27-year-old Ottawa man was taken into protective custody after making statements about wanting to harm himself.

Thefts

• 9:17 a.m. Wednesday, 500 block of Ash Street, a 47-year-old Ottawa woman reported someone got into her vehicle and stole items.

• 2:14 p.m. Wednesday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a 43-year-old Garnett woman reported someone stole her identity, forged a check and stole items.

• 9:53 a.m. Thursday, 400 block of East Ninth Street, a 49-year-old Ottawa woman reported the theft of an item from her residence.

• 4:02 p.m. Wednesday, 603 N. Bennett Road, authorized controlled burning.

• 9:13 p.m. Wednesday, 826 S. Locust St., investigated smoke odor.

• 1:46 a.m. Thursday, 1301 N. Davis Ave., extinguishing system activated. No fire reported.

• Firefighters assisted with five medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.
