• 4:26 p.m. Monday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Lucas Simpkins, 33, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 9:34 p.m. Monday, 200 block of West Fourth Street, Pomona, Douglas Sommer, 47, Pomona, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Adam Walker, 33, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, Franklin County Jail, 305 S. Main St., Eric Fox, 34, Ottawa, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 9:21 p.m. Tuesday, 2600 block of Kingman Road, Grant Mason, 22, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving under the influence after he was involved in a traffic accident, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 4:40 p.m. Monday, milepost 183 on I-35, Kevin Mahan, 33, Greeley, on suspicion of possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after being stopped for a traffic infraction.

• 12:46 p.m. Tuesday, 700 block of South Maple Street, Jennifer Madden, 39, Garnett, on a Douglas County warrant.

• 5:26 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of West 15th Street, Dawn Miller, 45, Ottawa, on suspicion of driving while suspended, no proof of liability insurance and expired registration.

Thefts

• 1:22 p.m. Monday, 1900 block of Vermont Road, a 47-year-old Rantoul woman reported a YuroDog Go Kart valued at $800 was stolen from the 1900 block of Vermont.

• 8:59 p.m. Monday, 200 block of West Fourth Street, Pomona, a 47-year-old Pomona man reported a bicycle valued at $1,200 was stolen.

• 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, 1556 Nebraska Road, a 27-year-old Princeton reported her personal checks were stolen. The value of the checks was estimated at $40.

Accidents

• 1:54 p.m. Monday, U.S. 59 and Ellis Road, a 1997 Chevrolet S10 truck driven by Randy Hinderliter, 58, Ottawa, was southbound on U.S. 59 and waiting to turn east on Ellis Road when a 2004 Lincoln Aviator driven by Shawn Green, 23, Ozawkie, Kan., struck the back of the truck. Both men were transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital, 1301 S. Main St., Ottawa, with minor injuries, according to a sheriff’s report.

• 8:05 p.m. Monday, 4600 block of U.S. 59, a silver Dodge Durango driven by Heather Oneal, 39, Ottawa, was southbound on U.S. 59 when it struck a deer near milepost 140. There were no injuries, and damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

• 8:56 p.m. Monday, South McGinnis Avenue and East Fifth Street, a vehicle driven by Johnaver Johnson, 73, Rantoul, was northbound in the 2200 block of Vermont Road when a deer ran into the side of the car. Damage was estimated at approximately $1,000.

• 3:31 p.m. Tuesday, K-68 and Georgia Road, a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Autumn Holloway, 16, Baldwin City, was eastbound in the 1200 block of K-68 when it struck a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Ammon Campbell, 17, Pomona. No one was injured, a sheriff’s report said.

• 11:49 p.m. Tuesday, 300 block of I-35, a vehicle driven by Graham Fishburn, 42, Leavenworth, was northbound on I-35 when it struck a deer near milepost 168. The vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the air bags deployed, but Graham was not injured, a sheriff’s report said.

• 4:53 a.m. Wednesday, 1600 block of I-35, a 2002 Buick LeSabre driven by Trisha Faureau, 43, Waverly, was northbound on I-35 when it struck a deer near milepost 172. No injuries were reported.

Incidents

• 2:03 p.m. Monday, 300 block of South Cedar Street, Kathryn Sheler, 70, Ottawa, was cited and released on a notice to appear in court on suspicion of animal cruelty.

• 12:41 p.m. Tuesday, 900 block of North Mulberry Street, Tina Henricks, 33, Ottawa, was cited and released on a notice to appear in court after her dog bit a 33-year-old Gardner man, according to a police report.

• 5:39 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of West 15th Street, a 13-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl, both of Topeka, were taken into protective custody because of a lack of parental supervision, according to a police report.

• 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, 1400 block of South Hickory Street, a 44-year-old Ottawa woman reported a 50-year-old Ottawa man battered her. The case is under investigation.

Thefts

• 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Walmart Supercenter, 2101 S. Princeton St., a woman reported an unknown suspect forged her check at Walmart to purchase items. The woman reported an unknown suspect later forged her checks at Short Stop, 1621 S. Main St., and China Palace, 910 S. Main St., to purchase items.

• 5:07 p.m. Tuesday, 1100 block of West 15th Street, a 44-year-old Ottawa woman reported an unknown suspect stole prescription pills from a client.

• 6:39 a.m. Wednesday, 700 block of South Elm Street, a 32-year-old Ottawa man reported a stereo was stolen from his vehicle.

• Monday: 500 block of Pine Street, medical call; 500 block of East Seventh Street, welfare check; 700 block of Main Street, public assist; 1000 block of Poplar Street, suspicious activity report.
