Sheriff’s Department Arrests

• 8:57 a.m. Thursday, 1400 block of South Main Street, Tra J. Johnston, 21, Olathe, on a Franklin County warrant.

• 9:43 a.m. Thursday, Idaho Road and K-68, Hillairy E. Wheeler, 26, Dickinson, N.D., on a Franklin County warrant.

Police Department Arrests

• 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, McDonald’s, 2214 Princeton Circle, Wesley Monohon, 29, Ottumwa, Iowa, was arrested after officers found him in possession of a vehicle previously reported stolen, according to a police report.

• 12:18 a.m. Friday, 200 block of West Fifth Street, Deven Ayres, 18, and Austin Hall, 18, both of Osawatomie, on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop. A 17-year-old Osawatomie juvenile suspect also was arrested on suspicion of underage consumption of alcohol and transporting an open container, according to a police report.

• 7:10 p.m. Tuesday, K-68 in Franklin County, a 1999 Ford Taurus driven by Rebecca Cassidy, 43, Towanda, was eastbound in the 1200 block of K-68 when it struck a deer.

Incidents

• 11:13 a.m. Wednesday, 700 block of West 11th Street, a 35-year-old Ottawa man reported his 12-year-old son was bitten by a dog owned by Danielle Taylor, 36, Ottawa. Taylor received a vicious animal citation and was released on a notice to appear in court, according to a police report.

• 7:13 p.m. Thursday, 1000 block of South Hickory Street, a 72-year-old Ottawa man was found dead from what appeared to be natural causes, according to a police report.

Thefts

• 9:12 a.m. Thursday, First Southern Baptist Church, 1419 S. Eisenhower Ave., a 50-year-old Pomona man reported someone broke into a building and stole items.

• 6:45 p.m. Thursday, 200 block of South Maple Street, a 65-year-old Ottawa woman reported someone broke into her garage and stole items.

Accidents

• 7:01 p.m. Tuesday, Walmart Supercenter parking lot, 2101 S. Princeton St., a vehicle struck a parked vehicle owned by Enerjex Kansas and left the scene, according to a police report.

• 7:33 p.m. Thursday, 1500 S. Main St., a vehicle driven by Brianna Stephenson, 18, Ottawa, struck a vehicle driven by Tyler Rima, 21, Williamsburg. Stephenson was cited for failure to yield.

• 7:34 p.m. Wednesday, 1104 S. Hickory St., firefighters investigated a smoke odor.

• 7:39 p.m. Thursday, South Main and 15th streets, firefighters responded to a motor vehicle wreck.

• Firefighters assisted with six medical calls Wednesday and Thursday.
