Glendonna L. Ottaway, 49, Centropolis, Kan., died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at Olathe Medical Center.

Funeral services are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, with cremation to follow. Friends may pay their respects to Mrs. Ottaway from 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014, to the service hour at the funeral home, where the family plans to meet with friends 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Glendonna was born Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1965, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Robert and Emilee (Stuteville) Kohenskey.

She was raised in Edgar Springs, Mo., moving to Leavenworth, Kan., and then Centropolis where she lived for 22 years.

She graduated from Leavenworth High School, Leavenworth, Kan., with the class of 1983, and continued her education in law enforcement in Topeka.

Glendonna was united in marriage with Brian Ottaway Feb. 14, 1991, in Ottawa, Kan. He survives of their home.

Other survivors include her three children, Aaron Williams and wife, Jenna, Ottawa, Justin Williams, Overland Park, Kan., and Brianna Ottaway, Centropolis; siblings, Steve Buckner and wife, Pat, Rhonda Fox and husband, John, and Amanda Brown and husband, Arth, all of Edgar Springs, Mo.; eight grandchildren, Alexis, Baili, Kaylee and Ryker Williams, and Christian, Dakota, Landon and Naomi Williams; and mother, Emilee Freeman and husband, Dale, Edgar Springs.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1995; and step-brother, Gary Freeman, in 2013.

Glendonna was a homemaker and also worked as a production supervisor for Frito Lay in Topeka for four years. She was a coach at Wal-Mart Distribution Center No. 6035, Ottawa; security guard for the Topeka School District and later for the Sunflower Army Ammunition Plant in DeSoto; and a prison guard for Lansing Correctional Facility in Lansing.  

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and had a love for being outdoors, especially in the summertime.
