Dorothy N. Miller, 93, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital.

Friends may pay respects 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home, Ottawa. Graveside services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

She was born Jan. 7, 1921, in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Ernest and Jessie (Maxted) Krause.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Earl Wineiger in 1943. They divorced 1954.

She later married Orville Ray Miller.

She worked for her father at Pop’s Tavern and later owned and operated Dot’s Tavern. She was known to be a hard worker and a go-getter, as well as to enjoy a good bee, especially a “red.”

She loved being outside doing yard work. She loved her family and was always helping them. She played cards and enjoyed going to the casino. Dorothy loved her poodles.

Dorothy was a Charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2700, and a member of the VFW Post No. 5901 Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat and husband, Larry Folks, Wellsville, Kan.; granddaughters Debbie Harris-Eckhoff and husband, Keith, Wellsville, and Diane and husband, Randy Browning, Ottawa, Kan.; grandson Mike and wife, Micca Folks, Clay Center, Kan.; seven great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren with two on the way; one niece; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ray Miller; parents, Ernest and Jessie Krause; two sisters, Isabelle Krause and Eva Oyler; and one brother, Earl Krause Jr.
