Barbara Ann Williams, 61, Wellsville, Kan., passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. today, March 4, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa, Kan. Family and friends planned to meet 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at Dengel & Son Mortuary for visitation. Interment is set for Highland Cemetery, Ottawa.

Barbara was born Dec. 15, 1952, in Ottawa, Kan., the daughter of Tom and Doris (Walters) Arnold.

Barbara had been a resident of Wellsville, Kan., since 2005, moving there from Lawrence where she had lived since 1983. She has also lived in Princeton from 1970 to 1973; Ottawa 1973 to 1980; Wichita and Andover 1980 to 1983.

She graduated from Central Heights High School with the class of 1970. She attended Princeton Junior High and Rantoul Grade School.

Barbara was employed for 29 years as a custodial supervisor for the University of Kansas, retiring in 2012. Prior to her employment with KU, she held many positions, including selling fireworks, working at Kentucky Fried Chicken and King Radio, both of Ottawa, Taco Via of Lawrence, and Tobin Construction of Kansas City, Mo., all during the 1970s.

 Survivors include her longtime partner, Jimmy Grafe, of the home in Wellsville; her daughter, Tracy Waage and husband, Clark, Eudora, Kan.; two sisters, Virginia Welch, Ottawa, and Linda Foltz and husband, Rex, Rolla, Mo.; two brothers, Bob Arnold and wife, Louise, Edgerton, Kan., and Eddie Arnold and wife, Sandy, Imperial, Mo.; three grandchildren, Hayley Bagwell, Zachery Bagwell and Shelby Waage, all of Eudora.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
