PASQUALE ‘PAT’ GEORGE PELLETTIERE

Pasquale “Pat” George Pellettiere, 90, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital.

A graveside burial service is planned for 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2014, at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan. A memorial service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014, at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Ottawa, Kan.

Pasquale “Pat” George Pellettiere, 90, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Monday, April 7, 2014, at Ransom Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 30, 1923, in New York, N.Y., the son of Dominic and Josephine (Briglia) Pellettiere.

Pat served with the 547th Signal Base Depot of the U.S. Army Signal Corp. A veteran of World War II, Pat received the World War II Victory Medal, American Service Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal and the European African Middle Eastern Service Medal.

Pat was united in marriage with Erna Irene Johansen Oct. 25, 1954, in Elkton, Md. He and Erna shared 59 years together.

While in New York, N.Y., Pat worked for Lamp Fashion, Inc., Design Studio, and the Horn Lamp Co. in the lamp design and manufacturing business. After joining the Ottawa community in 1977, Pat worked for the City of Ottawa and also Jack Ellena Buick and Oldsmobile in Lawrence, Kan.

A dedicated family man, Pat also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and frequenting The Woodlands.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Erna Pellettiere, of the home; son, Robert Pellettiere and wife, Cecelia, Olathe, Kan.; son, Steven Pellettiere and wife, Mollie, Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Salvatore Pellettiere, Bronx, N.Y.; three sisters, Mollie Cocomello, Bronx, N.Y., Teresa Galluc, Bronx, N.Y., and Lucy Lico, Bronx, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.
