Laura A. Greenfield, 90, Overbrook, Kan., passed away Monday, May 13, 2013, at Brookside Manor, Overbrook.

Funeral services are planned for 2 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013, at Overbrook United Methodist Church, Overbrook. Visitation for family and friends is expected to precede the service at 1 p.m. Interment is planned at Overbrook Cemetery, Overbrook.

Laura was born Thursday, July 20, 1922, in Carlton, Kan., the daughter of John and Clara (Falen) Matthews. She was one of eight children.

She lived in Overbrook since the late 1930s, moving from Herrington, Kan.

Laura was united in marriage with Leslie Greenfield August 22, 1940, in Topeka, Kan. They shared 72 years of marriage.

Laura was a lifelong homemaker.

She was a member of the Overbrook United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie Greenfield, of the home; daughter, Marjorie A. Robb and husband, Vernon, Wakarusa, Kan.; son, Robert Greenfield and wife, Kathy, Ottawa; three grandchildren, Brant Greenfield and wife, Dodie, Overbrook, Kevin Greenfield and wife, Amy, Scranton, and Donna Musick, Wakarusa; seven great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and sister, Edna Shultz and husband, William, Herrington, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and five brothers.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Overbrook United Methodist Church or Grace Hospice through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
