Donald “Don” Eugene Cook, 75, Princeton, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014, at his home, under the care of Midland Hospice, his family present by his side.

Cremation is planned. A memorial celebration of life is set for Saturday, July 5, 2014, at his home, 836 Kentucky Road, Princeton. Family and friends are welcome to come and go between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday to pay their respects.

Don was born April 15, 1939, in Princeton, the son of Jim and Mildred Cook.

Don was united in marriage with Cynthia Fanning Jan. 21, 1973, at Melvern.

Don worked at the Coca-Cola plant, Ottawa Truck and as a security guard at Wolf Creek Plant at Burlington.

The owner and operator of oil wells, Don enjoyed his horses and running them.

Survivors include his children and grandsons: son, Michael Eugene Cook, Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Billie Jo Bentley and her husband, Duane, Princeton; two grandsons, Derek Michael Cook and Tristen Gene Cook, Independence, Missouri.

Don never met a stranger and enjoyed visiting with people he came in contact with. He believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and shared that with people he met. He loved his family deeply, and Don will be truly missed.
