Linda Ann Seitz, 72, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at her home.

A funeral mass is plannd for 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary is to be said at 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, followed by a family and friends visitation at 5:30 p.m. Interment is set for Highland Cemetery, Ottawa, Kan.

Linda Ann Seitz, 72, Ottawa, Kan., passed away Thursday, Sept. 5, 2013, at her home.

Linda was born Sunday, Oct. 13, 1940, in Wamego, Kan., the daughter of Robert and Lura (McNay) McCoy.

She lived in Ottawa since 1968, moving from St. Mary’s, Kan., where she lived since 1959.

She graduated from Rossville High School with the class of 1958.

Linda was united in marriage with Albert Seitz April 11, 1959, in St. Mary’s, Kan. He survives of their home.

Other survivors include her three daughters, Sharon Van Horn and husband, Gene, Wellsville, Kan., Ronda Seiwert and husband, Paul, St. Mark/Colwich, Kan., and Brenda Wray and husband, John, Ottawa; nine grandchildren, Greg Van Horn, Gary Van Horn and wife, Amanda, Amy Strenth and husband, Mike, Jordan, Katie and JohnPaul Seiwert, Mark Wray and wife, Lacey, Erik and Amanda Wray; two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Austin Strenth; and sister, Lois Lacock and husband, Tom, Rossville, Kan.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Linda was not only a wife and mother, but also worked as an assistant preschool teacher for East Central Vocational Cooperative in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Franklin County 4-H leader, and was a Realtor for Prestige Real Estate for 17 years, retiring in 2010.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Ottawa Women’s Golf Association and treasurer of Friday Night Couples Golf at Ottawa Country Club.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Sacred Heart School or Franklin County 4-H Development Fund through Dengel & Son Mortuary, 235 S. Hickory St., Ottawa KS 66067.
