Cliff Cravens, 100, Estes Park, Colo., died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, 2013, at home.

A visitation is planned for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Allnutt Funeral Chapel, Estes Park, Colo., where a memorial service is set to celebrate Cliff’s life.

Cliff Cravens, 100, Estes Park, Colo., died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 11, 2013, at home.

A visitation is planned for 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Allnutt Funeral Chapel, Estes Park, Colo., where a memorial service is set to celebrate Cliff’s life.

Clifford Albert Cravens was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Jacksonville, Ill., to Thomas and Nona (Bandy) Cravens.

He grew up in Herrin, Ill., attended Bandyville Elementary School and graduated in 1932 from Lyndon High School in Kansas. He attended the University of Colorado for two years.

He married Dorothy Baxley Jan. 29, 1938, in Lyndon, Kan.

Cliff was a jobber and distributor for Skelly Oil Company in Kansas and retired to Estes Park in 1978, and moved to Estes Park in May 1981.

He was a charter member of the Lyndon Lions Club, Elks Lodges in Ottawa, Kan., and Boulder, Colo., Shriners and a 32-degree member of Euclid Masonic Lodge No. 101 of the A.F. & A.M.  in Lyndon, Kan.

Dorothy died in 1988.

Survivors include his daughter, Dana (Gibson) Pearis, Belton, Mo.; grandchildren, Scott Hamilton(Carrie), Todd Hamilton, Darren Hamilton (Jennifer), Lacinda Kramer, Randal Atherton (Cheryl), Rodney Atherton (Elly), Bradley Atherton (Alicia), William Atherton (Tammy), Bret Cravens, Brian Cravens, Brooke Funk (Matt) and step-grandson Mike Pearis (Dottie). Other survivors include 23 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Jim Wischropp (Ellen), Lyndon, Doug Wischropp (Barbara), Overland Park, Kan., and David Wischropp (Cathy), Topeka, Kan.; former sons-in-law, Robert Atherton, Longmont, Colo., and Albert Hamilton, Lee’s Summit, Mo.; and daughter-in-law, Carol Cravens, Lenaxa, Kan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; sisters, Midge Wischropp and Jane Bonjour; son, Richard Cravens; daughter, Janis Atherton; and nephews, Terry and Mike Bonjour.
