Eileen Schinstock, 86, Manhattan, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, at her residence in Manhattan.
A Christian wake service and rosary are planned for 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013, at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 2900 Kimball Ave., Manhattan. The family plans to meet with friends following the wake until 8:30 p.m. at the church. A mass of the Christian burial is set for 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church, with Father Don Zimmerman as celebrant.
Graveside services are planned for 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at the St. Nicholas Catholic Cemetery, Kinsley, Kan., with Father John Strasser officiating. The McKillip Funeral Home in Kinsley is handling the graveside services.
She was born Nov. 4, 1926, in Ford County, Kan., the daughter of Carl W. and Anna Maria (Lobmeyer) Weiss.
Survivors include her husband C.G. Schinstock, of the home, Manhattan; six children, Ann Looney and her husband, Ben, Dodge City, Kan., Bob Schinstock, Medicine Lodge, Kan., Bill Schinstock and his wife, Marla, Lawrence, Kan., Janet Prather and her husband, Ervin, Ottawa, Kan., David Schinstock and his wife, Karen, Wichita, Kan., and Dale Schinstock and his wife, Susan, Manhattan; four siblings, Walter Weiss, Marjorie Phillips, Jeanette Watson and Daniel Weiss; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
