Charles Richard “C.R.” Jones, 80, Ottawa, died Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013.

No funeral services are planned, but visitors are welcome at the home of Kathlyn Jones.

He was born March 12, 1933, at home in Ottawa to Charles Lee and Sadie Miranda (Franks) Jones.

He was a lifelong resident of Ottawa and the surrounding area.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950-1953, Seaman 1st Class during the Korean War, aboard the USS Monrovia.

He later was a “logger” until retirement.

He married Kathlyn M. (Ward) Jan. 30, 1954. She survives of the home.

His children were Teresa and Les Coulter, Richard Jones, Mark and Gaylene Jones, and Steven and Deanna Jones. Grandchildren were Melissa and Noel DeCock, Angela Moland, Jerry and Shelley Frye, Angel Jones, Faith Eppens, Sam Jones, John and Alice Jones, Karen Jones, Valarie Ratliff, Les and Alexzandra Coulter, and Angela and Danny McConkey. Great-grandchildren were Caylah and Miranda and Noel DeCock Jr., Charles and Dakota Frye, Kirsten and Kelsi Moland, Tristan and Raven Howard, Alana Jones, Taren and Tyler Eppens, Faith and Denver Coulter, Tristan and Logan Jones, and Shyann McConkey. A great-great-grandchild was Jaaidon DeCock. He had three sisters, Goldie and Danny Kinsley, Betty and Rex Bauer (Ottawa), and Mondale Davis.

A loving husband, daddy and grandpa, he was and always will be larger than life, and will be missed forever.
