Ethel Lou Scott, 81, went home to be with her Lord Friday, Nov. 28, 2013. She fought cancer through the last year bravely. Ethel was thankful of the doctors and nurses and staff at Mercy Hospital and Landmark Hospital for their help in her last days.

A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at First Baptist Church, 12325 E. Highway 86, Neosho, Mo. Burial is set for a later date.

Ethel was born Sept. 3, 1932, at home outside Columbus, Kan., to Hazel M. Garrett and Bert Garrett.

Survivors include her brother, Douglas Garrett; three children, Lisa Reeves and husband, Eugene, Raymore, Mo., Mark Scott, Neosho, Mo., and Susan Armstrong, Neosho, Mo.; eight wonderful grandchildren, Jeremy Reeves, Cassie Carnahan, Wendy Scott, Shayla Armstrong, William Scott, Roman Armstrong, Caitlyn Scott and Elizabeth Armstrong.

She had two recent joys in great-grandchildren Clara B. Armstrong and Connor A. Carnahan.
