James Michael “Mike” Moss, 56, Wellsville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at his home after a long-fought battle with liver cancer.

Funeral services are planned for 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at Wilson’s Funeral Home, Wellsville. Visitation is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at the funeral home. Interment is to follow services in Wellsville Cemetery.

James Michael “Mike” Moss was born May 25, 1957, in Olathe, Kan., the son of Elmer L. and Isabelle (Robison) Moss.

He grew up in Wellsville and graduated from Wellsville High School in 1975.

He married Diane L. Bissonnette Feb. 28, 1976, at the Wellsville Baptist Church. They were married 37 years before his passing.

Mike worked for Taylor Oil in Wellsville, hauling gas for 25 years.

He was an avid fisherman and loved the KU Jayhawks. He also enjoyed camping and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him for his kind nature and large stature.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; his son and daughter-in-law, Jamie and Tammy Moss, Ottawa; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and BJ Chrisjohn, Wellsville; sister and brother-in-law, Bev and Mike McAuley, Wellsville; brother and sister-in-law Roy and Pat Moss, Grain Valley, Mo.; sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Jim Bayless, Wellsville; sister Lori Workman, Wellsville; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Jean Ann Moss, Wellsville; seven grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville High School Athletic Fund or the Wellsville Baptist Church.
