Real American issues

3/21/2014

It seems timely that opinion comments from Jeanny Sharp, Doug Anstaett and Martin Hawver appeared on the same page in Tuesday’s Herald, discussing issues about the state of our local, state and federal government.

I am not looking for the ear of Democrats, Republicans, independents or any other political association. I am addressing this to any and all who are American citizens — you know, the ones who actually are enjoying the benefits of our great nation legally. If you want to turn this rotting bowl of garbage politics and lies upside-down and pick through it, then please continue to read. If you do not care about your freedoms, rights and your future quality of life, stop at the end of this sentence.

Our elected representatives in Washington have slapped the U.S. Constitution to death. It is meant to be the supreme law of our nation. The current presidential administration and all of the “king’s” men and women have strayed far from the principles of individual liberty and limited government that the Constitution upholds. Our governing bodies are an absolute disgrace and are (in most cases) guilty of criminal acts.

Kansas Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins’ spokesperson told me that her 2nd District does not have a “substantial” population to warrant her to get on the Obamacare Nightmare and round up supporters in the House and Senate to get rid of this tax. Oh yes, she did vote against it, but did not finish the job. I find this incredible and unacceptable. The “substantial” comment was an official statement from her chief of staff.

Dont sign up for the health tax ... especially if you are a younger person. There is a simple form to request that may be filled out stating that you cannot afford it and want only catastrophic coverage. If you have a family, you basically are screwed. But if you are single, young and healthy, you can pay cash and pay nearly 60 percent less.

Demand that we have the same coverage as each and every elected politician. One senator — to remain nameless ... no favoritism for any party affiliates — had the temerity to state on national television: “We need to get some kind of health insurance that will work for the common folks out there.”

Tell former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that it matters to you that four Americans were killed under her watch. (No, I would not want her to be the one to take “that call” at 3 a.m.) The call in question came from Benghazi; the one that no one wanted to answer except a brave Marine. I thank all who serve so selflessly to “defend our country from all enemies, both foreign and domestic.”

Find out why we spend millions of dollars to house and coddle pedophiles in Miami County who have been diagnosed as “unable to rehabilitate back into society” after they have served their prison terms. The Supreme Court ruled it is legal to detain them. I ask why these offenders are out and about in our towns having lunch, recreation of their choice, and the opportunity to get a feel for the lay of the land? The medical associates who evaluate these men have repeatedly reported “not possible to rehabilitate.” Yet these doctors are paid thousands of dollars annually to report the same diagnosis. You need to ask about “Michael’s House.” New name, same place.

There is no “back end” on the Obamacare nightmare because it is literally impossible to accomplish in the manner we have been led to believe. I would stand before God and all of His angels and say the same. If you want to know why, I would be happy to get together with anyone interested as a group and tell you. I was there 20 years ago when point of service health insurance was hatched. If you were not in it from the beginning, you most likely have no clue of the utter nonsense that the White House and all members of both houses of Congress are not telling you. They themselves have no idea.

If you don’t act, then you deserve the greatest rip off in American history. If you don’t vote, then you don’t count. If you love your country and respect all who have sacrificed so very much for the freedoms we enjoy, then get rolling. It is known as the First Amendment.

House Minority Leader Paul Davis, seeking the governor’s seat, really needs to check his facts about education funding. Gee, even the common folk hicks in western Franklin County figured that scam out. I repeat myself, but with purpose. “Nobody ever helped a hick but a hick hisself.” Let us call these frauds to the front lines and hand them each an ear of corn so they don’t go hungry after we get rid of the real pork.

There is so much more. But don’t wait to hear it on your TV. I begin to wonder if there are any real journalists left to tell the story. I read it in the Herald ... “Trust, but verify” — Ronald Reagan.
