‘It ain’t over ’til it’s over’

4/9/2014

Yogi Berra, the famous baseball player, on one occasion said the above phrase to reporters. The same can be said about the horrible Benghazi scandal.

Lies and run-a-rounds have characterized this sad event where four gallant Americans died, including our ambassador. Michael Morell, deputy director of the CIA at the time of these murders, recently testified of these horrors with more political evasiveness and purposively dodged direct answers.

When will the scandals of Benghazi, Fast and Furious, IRS, Immigration, etc. be over?

This is when: Revelation 20:11-12.

“And I saw a Great White Throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.”

Do these evaders not realize they will face these very men who were murdered some day at this judgment? There, full accountability will be revealed. No lies, no run-a-rounds, no blame shifting, no favors or bribes will avail. The Throne is “White” indicating nothing crooked will be tolerated. The atmosphere of the Thrice-Holy will be so present and frightening, that no one, no one, would dare think about it. Their works from the opened “Books” will tell the whole story. Then it will be over!

But we don’t have to go to Washington to see the application of the Apostle John’s warning. It is for all of us, present and past. The only avail for covering our sinful lives recorded in the Books is the Blood of Christ shed on the cross. The penalty of sin is death, and Jesus died to make full atonement for all who put their faith only in His payment for their sin. Romans 6:23. Amen.
