Rules versus access

4/10/2013

I hope we have handicapped people on the city’s new Accessibility Advisory Board.

No one knows what we go through. Every drug store should have handicapped parking in front of its door. This is a place we don’t choose to go. This is a place we have to go.

There are places where we have to unload our chairs into the street, then go through the street, to the ramp.

It appears whoever followed government rules didn’t follow common sense.

I hope this board consults with folks in need and not just the government rules.
