Brownback an honest 'Eisenhower' Republican

6/11/2014

Spring in Kansas is a wonderful time of year. It is a time of renewal, a time of exciting new possibilities and moving forward.

In today’s political climate of inaccurate perceptions, manipulations and negativity I am proud to be part of something positive: “Women for Brownback.” Today, we need Sam Brownback more than ever. His policies are moving Kansas forward.

There are many reasons I consider Women for Brownback one of the most important movements in Kansas. I have often said Brownback is a true “Eisenhower” Republican. It is not something I say lightly, and as someone who knew Eisenhower very well, I can see perhaps better than most the parallels between these two men.

Both men are of Kansas roots and proud of those roots. A pure love of the state, they inherited and learned from the integrity of her land and people. Stability, honesty and courage to do the right thing is what Sam Brownback stands for. He knows and loves the people of Kansas because Kansas is his home.

Today it is more important than ever that our state have a strong leader who understands the strengths of its people and who is committed to serving them. Sam Brownback is that man.

I am proud to be part of “Women for Brownback” and to work alongside other Kansas women who understand that we must keep in place the genuine, honest, loving and courageous leadership of Sam Brownback.

granddaughter of Dwight D. Eisenhower
