View foxes from afar

8/14/2013

I know people have good intentions when it comes to wild animals, but sometimes you harm them without realizing it.

They lose their natural instincts to survive when you feed them to the point of taming them so they will eat from your hand and let you pet them. One already has died from a car hitting it and law enforcement officers were trying to capture the babies before they meet a similar fate. This is the case at Park Place Apartments.

It is very difficult for wild foxes to be relocated after people tame them. Please admire them from afar and encourage them to be fearful of people; it actually is in their best interests.

Also, you would not leave your baby in a car, so stop leaving your dog in your car. It is too hot; they can easily die from overheating. If you’re an animal lover like myself, please pass along this information and be aware. Call animal control if you see suspicious behavior that could be considered dangerous to an animal. Thank You.
