Poor customer service

I would like to pose a question to all business owners out there: Does integrity even exist anymore?

During the past several months, I have made phone calls for services to a couple of different businesses in Ottawa.

The first one came out, but had to order parts. Several weeks passed with no word. A phone call back to them to check up on this resulted in “they should be in any day.” I am still waiting, six months later.

Another phone call to a local businessman for “services” resulted in “I’m really busy right now,” but will call you back. Several weeks went by and I called back. “I will be out next week.” I am still waiting on that one too.

Granted, my jobs are not huge and would not put food on their table for long, but I still am a paying customer. I have had it, and will look elsewhere in the future. Might I add, these business owners have been around a long time, but through the years they have gotten “lax” because they can.

I say customer service should never go stale — after all, where would they be without their customers?

Thanks for letting me vent my opinion.
