Wellsville rezoning

A petition recently was filed (Sept. 27) in Wellsville to change residential zoning to commercial zoning at 824 Chilton Ave. The Planning Commission and the City Council both rejected the proposed zoning change.

This was a nice victory for the residents of Wellsville who live in residential-zoned areas.

A special thanks goes to the 86 residents who signed a petition opposing commercial zoning in a residential-zoned neighborhood. And thanks to the close neighbors who bonded together to oppose this commercial rezoning move.

Wellsville City Hall needs to protect residential owners and not rezone residential property area’s for special interest groups. City Hall needs to learn to talk with area citizens before proposing major zoning changes.
