WF girls get fifth

By The Herald Staff | 1/27/2014

EMPORIA — The West Franklin High School girls basketball team claimed fifth place Saturday in the Flint Hills Shootout at Emporia. The Falcons nipped Herington, 34-33.

“The girls played pretty hard and set the tone early,” West Franklin coach Kyle Conley said. “The game got kind of sloppy and lacked flow for either team. Each team played very hard and aggressive on the defensive end. I feel that our girls did what it took to win the game and are starting to some put some things together and are improving each game.”
