Ottawa wrestlers split duals

OSAWATOMIE — The Ottawa High School wrestling team split duals Tuesday in Osawatomie.

Ottawa defeated Fort Scott, 45-32, and fell to Osawatomie, 39-36.

Ottawa defeated Fort Scott, 45-32, and fell to Osawatomie, 39-36.

Ottawa coach Joe Tokarz said the Osawatomie dual went down to the wire and the Fort Scott dual had several key matches.

“It was a great dual with lots of lead changes,” Tokarz said. “A lot of great matches. Both duals took a very long time due to very evenly matched competitors. Chandler [Adamson] had a big win at heavyweight to seal the victory.”

Landon Randall, Brandin Bell, Blaine Ray and Caleb Parenti went 2-0.

Ottawa wrestles Saturday at Olathe North.
