OU baseball falls in 3 of 4 games

SHAWNEE, Okla. — The Ottawa University baseball team lost three of four games to Oklahoma Baptist in Shawnee, Okla., this weekend.

Ottawa split Friday’s doubleheader. The Braves won the opener, 3-2, but fell 7-1 in the nightcap. On Saturday, Oklahoma Baptist topped Ottawa, 22-1 and 7-3.

Ottawa split Friday’s doubleheader. The Braves won the opener, 3-2, but fell 7-1 in the nightcap. On Saturday, Oklahoma Baptist topped Ottawa, 22-1 and 7-3.

Ottawa scored three runs in the sixth inning of the Friday’s opener to erase Oklahoma Baptist’s 2-0 lead. Cody Parks singled to center to drive in the tying and go-ahead runs.

Senior pitcher Jacob Loucks set down the Warriors in the seventh inning to give Ottawa its second win of the season. He tossed all seven innings.

Parks had two hits and two RBIs.

Cole Horn paced Ottawa with two hits in Friday’s nightcap.

AJ Clayton, Alejandro Villegas and Horn had two hits each in Saturday’s opener.

Kaylem Quinn had two hits and two RBIs in the nightcap.

Ottawa plays doubleheaders Saturday and Sunday at home against Waldorf College. Both start at 1 p.m.
