Braves split doubleheader

CLAREMORE, Okla. — The Ottawa University baseball team split two games Sunday in Claremore, Okla.

The Braves fell to No. 5 Rogers State University, 10-0. Ottawa downed Dakota State 7-1.

The Braves fell to No. 5 Rogers State University, 10-0. Ottawa downed Dakota State 7-1.

Kaylem Quinn led Ottawa with two hits agaisnt Rogers State. Cole Meeks pitched five innings.

Ottawa scored six runs in the third inning against Dakota State. Ottawa had three hits in the inning. Ottawa scored one in the fifth.

Jacob Loucks and Kyle Penner had two hits each. Greg Wisner and Cole Horn had two RBIs each.

Jake Kolenda pitched in 5 2/3 innings and earned his second victory of the season. He allowed four hits. Tyler Wilson pitched 1 1/3 innings.

Ottawa (3-4) plays 4 p.m. Thursday at Central Methodist.
