OU baseball falls to No. 15 Sterling

The Ottawa University baseball team took it on the chin twice Friday to No. 15 Sterling in Ottawa.

The Braves fell 11-2 and 3-0 to the conference-leading Warriors.

The Braves fell 11-2 and 3-0 to the conference-leading Warriors.

Sterling controlled the opener, taking an 11-0 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. Ottawa scored two in the seventh.

Cody Parks’ RBI single to left scored Alejandro Villegas and Kaylem Quinn’s RBI single scored Andy See.

Parks and Villegas went 2-for-4 each. Jake Kissner pitched in five innings.

The Braves’ offense was stymied in the nightcap by a trio of Sterling pitchers.

Ottawa had five hits. Parks and Dustin Balmer had two hits apiece.

Josh Reynolds pitched a complete game, allowing two earned runs.

Ottawa (6-13, 2-6) plays a doubleheader today in Oklahoma City, Okla., against MidAmerican Christian University.
