Braves' bats cold in losses to Tabor

HILLSBORO — The Ottawa University baseball team failed to get its bats going Thursday in Hillsboro.

The Braves mustered just one run in falling to Tabor, 5-0 and 3-1.

The Braves mustered just one run in falling to Tabor, 5-0 and 3-1.

Ottawa was held to two hits in the opener. Kyle Pener and Josh Reynolds had the hits for the Braves.

Cole Meeks pitched four innings and had three strikeouts.

The Braves struck for their only run of the day in the first inning of the ngithcap.

Greg Wisner, Cody Parks, Dustin Balmer and Kaylem Quinn all had hits for the Braves.

Jake Kissner pitched in 4 1/3 innings. Tyler Wilson pitched in 1 2/3 innings and did not allow a hit.

Ottawa (8-15, 2-8) plays 1 p.m. today at home against Tabor.
