GARNETT — The Vikings’ bats are ailing early in the season. The Vikings mustered just five runs in two losses (5-0 and 8-5) Tuesday to Anderson County in Garnett.

“We are struggling at the plate right now,” Central Heights coach Jason Brown said. “We have some very inexperienced players who are just now learning the game.

“We have a lot of basic stuff to work on before we can get to where we want to be.”

Robertson led the Vikings with three hits in the second game. Scooter Kice had two hits and an RBI. Byron Redifer had two RBIs.
