Eagles baseball tops Bulldogs

GARNETT — The Wellsville High School baseball team remained undefeated in Pioneer League play Tuesday with 9-1 and 15-1 victories over Anderson County in Garnett.

Wellsville, ranked third in 3A, is 9-2 overall and 6-0 in the league.

Wellsville had several hitters with a nice doubleheader.

Shamus Kearney (4-0) and Luke Meyer (3-0) were the winning pitchers.

The Eagles play 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at home against Iola.

Luke Meyer: 4-9, HR, 5 RBIs.

Shelton Breithaupt: 3-9, RBI.

Seth Breithaupt: 4-8, 3 SB, RBI.

Bret Osbern: 3-8, 3 SB, 2 RBIs.
