OHS tennis splits matches

SPRING HILL — The Ottawa High School tennis team went 4-4 Thursday in a triangular with Kansas City Christian and Spring Hill in Spring Hill.

Jonathan Kuczmarski was 1-1 at No. 1 singles. Chris Espinosa went 2-0 at No. 2 singles.

Jonathan Kuczmarski was 1-1 at No. 1 singles. Chris Espinosa went 2-0 at No. 2 singles.

Vince Sylvester and Alex Reed was 0-2 at No. 1 doubles. Luke Rea and Kley Bolivar was 1-1 in No. 2 doubles.

“Kansas City Christian has a solid team,” Ottawa coach Eric Sparks said. “Spring Hill, we competed with them.”

Ottawa plays Tuesday at Mill Valley in the De Soto Invitational.

No. 1 singles: Jonathan Kuczmarski lost 8-0 to KC Christian; def. Spring Hill, 8-6.

No. 2 singles: Chris Espinosa def. KC Christian, 8-0; def. Spring Hill, 8-6.

No. 1 doubles: Sylvester/Reed lost 8-0 to KC Christian; lost 8-6 to Spring Hill.

No. 2 doubles: Rea/Bolivar lost 8-4 to KC Christian; def. Spring Hill, 8-6.
