Wellsville boys set meet records

BURLINGTON — The Wellsville High School boys track team set three meet records Thursday in the Southern Coffey County Invitational at Burlington.

Hunter Thuro set meet records in winning the 110- and 300-meter hurdles events. Thuro finished fourth in the 300 hurdles this past weekend in the Kansas Relays.

Wellsville’s 1,600 relay set a meet record. The Eagles also won the 400 relay.

Wellsville finished second as a team. Wellsville competes Tuesday at Silver Lake.

Shot put — 4, Smith, 43-7.

High jump — 4, Thomasson, 5-6.

Long jump — 3, Bertoncino, 20-1; 6, See, 18-9.

3,200 — 2, Ware, 10:43; 3, Bouse, 11:07.

1,600 — 4, Ware. 5:12.

3,200 relay — 2, 9:14.

400 relay — 1, 45.2.

1,600 relay — 1, 3:37 (meet record).

110 hurdles — 1, Thuro, 15.14 (meet record).

300 hurdles — 1, Thuro, 40.2 (meet record).

100 — 3, Strawn, 11.29; 4, Heckman, 11.56.

200 — 2, Strawn, 23.2.

800 — 4, Hosford, 2:12.
