OU women finish second in KCAC

GARDEN CITY — Rough weather plagued the first women’s Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference golf tourney in Garden City.

The players battled high wind Monday in the only round completed.

The players battled high wind Monday in the only round completed.

The other two rounds were canceled. Southwestern, which shot a 373 in the first round, was declared the winner. Ottawa University finished second at 385.

Ottawa had five golfers in the top 10. Ottawa’s top scorer was Erin Shriver, who tied for third with a 92.

Mallory Kloeppel (96), Amy Weilert (98), Kaitlynn Walker (99) and Sara Housman (103) all posted top-10 scores.
