OHS boys, Natt leap to success

BONNER SPRINGS — Ottawa High School senior Dallas Natt waited all season for a performance like Tuesday’s in the triple jump at the Bonner Springs Invitational.

Natt leaped a career-best 46 feet, 7.5 inches, which is a half-inch from the school record of 46-8 set by Jerrid Tolson. Natt also won the long jump (21-2.5).

The OHS boys dominated the meet. The Cyclones walked away with the title scoring 161 points. Schlagle was a distant second with 88 points.

The Cyclones girls had their best finish of the season by taking fourth with 59 points.

The Ottawa boys swept the top three places in the shot put and javelin.

Ottawa competes Friday in the Shawnee Mission North Relays and the Piper Relays.
