Falcon baseball set for Council Grove

The West Franklin High School baseball is set for a showdown with undefeated Council Grove Friday in Pomona.

The Falcons (9-3, 9-1) swept a pair of games Monday over North Lyon County. The Falcons won 4-1 and 11-3.

Emerson Reece tossed complete game one-hitter with nine strikeouts. He was coming a knee injury. The Falcons had just four hits.

“We hit the ball but just couldn’t get them to drop,” West Franklin coach Danny Homer said.

The nightcap saw the bats come alive with 14 hits. Will Duda had three hits and two RBIs. Owen Reed had four hits and two RBIs. Oaklee Homer had three hits and an RBI.

Mitch Walters had three hits. Tyler Rogers had three RBIs. Clay Altic finished with two RBIs.
