The two schools have been the best two programs in the league for several years.

Wellsville advanced to the title game Thursday with 11-1 win over Anderson in six innings and 16-0 victory over Iola in three innings in

Prairie View defeated Osawatomie, 12-5, and Central Heights, 3-2, in a rain-shortened game.

Wellsville (17-2) received good pitching and hitting in both games. Raegan Beckley tossed two-hitter at Anderson County. She had nine strikeouts.

“She had great command of all her pitches,” Wellsville coach Chris Rose said. “She did a real nice job.”

Kaylynn Peacock finished with six strikeouts in three innings in the victory over Iola.

“She had good stuff,” Rose said. “She worked ahead in the count.”

Ashley Sparks went 3-for-4 with four RBIs against the Bulldogs and 2-for-2 with an RBI versus Iola.
