“Cody is a very athletic and versatile guard,” Ottawa coach Andy Carrier said. “He is a great addition and really solidifies our backcourt for next year. Cody shoots a high percentage from three, can put the ball on the floor and is a great rebounder for a guard. He really will complement our returning players.”

Sluder, a 6-foot-3 guard/forward, averaged 7.6 points and six rebounds per game for Allen County. He shot 46 percent from the floor, including 36 percent from behind the arc. He scored a career-high 17 points against the Ottawa junior varsity and snared 14 rebounds vs. Northeastern Oklahoma.

He averaged 8.1 points and five rebounds for Colby.

Sluder led Central Heights to a third-place finish at the 3A state tourney in 2012. He averaged 20 points and eight rebounds as a senior for the Vikings. He earned all-state honors and was selected to play in the KBAC and ICC all-star games.

Sluder is part of a recruiting class that includes Wellsville all-state guard Carter Mann.
