OU athletes named to scholar squad

Nine Ottawa University athletes were named NAIA-Daktronic Scholar athletes from the spring sports.

Ottawa track athletes Janelle Bailey, Morgan Boore, Chelsea Fullerton and Amber Ramsey were named to the team.

Nine Ottawa University athletes were named NAIA-Daktronic Scholar athletes from the spring sports.

Ottawa track athletes Janelle Bailey, Morgan Boore, Chelsea Fullerton and Amber Ramsey were named to the team.

Fullerton and Bailey also earned Daktronic Scholar Athlete honors in cross country this past fall.

Boore and Ramsey earned the honor in basketball this past winter.

Softball players Darin Lewis, Alyssa Miller, and Mikayla Oliphant were selected.

This is the second time Lewis has been named a Daktronic Scholar athlete.

Baseball players Jacob Loucks and Alejandro Villegas were on the squad. Loucks is a repeat selection.

To be nominated by the head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
