Arnold selected to elite VB team

Ottawa University senior volleyball player Allie Arnold was selected to the 2014 preseason KCAC volleyball team.

The squad consists of returning 2013 first and second team KCAC performers.

Ottawa University senior volleyball player Allie Arnold was selected to the 2014 preseason KCAC volleyball team.

The squad consists of returning 2013 first and second team KCAC performers.

Arnold was a first-team KCAC selection in 2013. She helped lead the Lady Braves to their second straight KCAC Tournament title and KCAC National Tournament berth.

Arnold played in 34 matches and 119 sets as a junior.

She had 242 kills, a hitting percent of .247, 13 assists, six service aces, 36 digs and 128 blocks.

The senior had a season-high 13 kills against Tabor College and a season-high seven blocks twice with the last being against Friends University).

Arnold is ranked fifth in the OU record book in career kills (856), eighth in career kills per set (2.4), fourth in attack percentage (.263), sixth in attack attempts (2,240), fourth in career solo blocks (73), first in career block assists (291) and second in career blocks (364).

Arnold is one of nine Lady Brave returners for first-year coach Melissa Blessington.
